One on one

General Description

Team members need to deeply know each other in order to build trustful links that will allow them to take further risks. It is necessary to practice empathy and realize that there is a lot to know about each individual besides the work environment.

One familiar feeling in remote teams is the feeling of loneliness because everybody has their reality at home, and it is easy to disconnect from the team dynamics. Moreover, groups are forced to work remotely and miss face-to-face interactions. For that reason, it is important to include one to one sessions on the agenda!

Steps

Create random pairs with the team members, consider pairing people who do not know each other very well. The meeting should not take more than 30 min, try to schedule them weekly or biweekly.

Bonus:

- Ask all the members to have their device camera turned on.

- Each member should find a quiet place at home/office.

Step 1

Each member will have to ask and answer the following questions:

- My first impression of you was...
- What I have learned about you is...
-  What I would like to know more about you is...
