Solve the problem

General Description

Conflicts exist, and it is normal. According to Susan Wheelan's team development model, a team without conflicts can not reach its high-performance level. But a conflict needs to be solved, needs to provide learnings to the parts involved, and needs to encourage people to speak up.

The goal of this activity is to provide recommendations on how to approach a problem. Do not avoid problems, solve them! And it is possible to do it by being honest and practising empathy. Remember, each person is unique and deserves respect.

Think in advance about the communication channel you will use, we recommend a video call.

Do not forget to bring your best mood to solve the problem!

1. Do not overthink.

2. Show genuine interest in what the other person is feeling and why.

3. Do not take it personally.

4. Focus on solutions where both parts are comfortable.

5. Ask open questions. e.g., why? What can I do to help you?
